The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers for Tuesday, December 9, 2025, tease Ridge wondering what went wrong at Eric Forrester’s retirement party. Amazingly, Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) saw absolutely nothing wrong with planning a surprise party for his father and telling him that he was going to retire now because Ridge said so.
Just a perfectly normal idea filled with respect, right? WRONG!!!
The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Dad Doesn’t Want To Retire?
Daphne Rose (Murielle Hiliare) tried to warn Ridge that this was a bad idea, but Ridge didn’t listen and was then surprised when Eric Forrester (John McCook) balked at the idea of being forced to retire when he still had so many designs left in him. (Check Out Our Weekly B&B Spoilers, HERE!)
After seeing Eric’s reaction to this forced retirement, Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) asks Ridge if maybe they were wrong to throw their little party.
NONSENSE! Ridge won’t even hear of such a theory. How could he be wrong? Eric must not be thinking straight, but he is sure that he will reconsider things and see the light.

A Wedding Awaits
It’s also the week of Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) and Liam Spencer’s (Scott Clifton) wedding. As they plan for the big day, they have to take some time out to discuss Eric and the entire retirement party fiasco.
What a strange thing to discuss when their wedding should be the only thing on their minds, but what would a day be without an entire episode dedicated to characters talking about other characters?
Hope and Liam’s guest list is missing one person — Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown). When Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) informs his wife that she is not invited to the wedding, Sheila is hurt and devastated.
She thought that people were finally beginning to accept her as a respectable member of society, but now she is not invited to her own stepdaughter’s wedding.
Sheila has to consider what her next move is. She could revert to form or she could do the right thing and allow this wedding to go off without a hitch. Which Sheila will emerge is anyone’s guess.
