28 Emmerdale spoiler pictures reveal Christmas drama as resident goes missing

Strange events occur in Emmerdale in the lead up to Christmas, and it leaves Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) and Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) very worried.

A damaged car and burnt trees outside the Mill Cottage flat lead to Robert and Aaron pointing their fingers at Ross Barton (Michael Parr) first, who isn’t happy with Robron’s idea to bring Seb back to the village.

Ross ends up having an alibi though, which means someone else is out to get the couple.

Naturally, Robert, Aaron and Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins) begin to wonder if it’s Kev Townsend (Chris Coghill), but fail to consider that someone else might be responsible…

‘I think Robert and Aaron are at a point together where they genuinely think it’s over’, Danny Miller said.

‘And naively believe they can just crack on with being together, because Kev is no more, John is no more, therefore everybody can live happily ever after. But, of course, it’s soap, and it doesn’t work like that.’

Elsewhere, in the days before Christmas, Ray Walters (Joe Absolom) continues to charm Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy). He decides to create a fake Christmas lunch for her and Laurel is touched. They hug, and Ray allows himself a moment to hope they can spend a real Christmas together.

‘That’s the dilemma, isn’t it?’, Charlotte Bellamy said, reflecting on Ray’s journey in the village so far.

‘Because on one hand, you think it’s not fair. He’s a product of abuse, isn’t he? Of mental physical emotional abuse. Did he ever have a chance when he was groomed from such a young age like that. But on the other hand, you think, is he redeemable? He wants to be a good man. He desperately wants to redeem himself, but Laurel really is his only chance.’

Up at Home Farm. Kim Tate (Claire King) continues to push her loved ones away. Facing a lonely festive period, Kim flicks through an old photo album, struggling with how much she has lost over the years.

As 2025 draws to a close, Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) remains worried about his family, while April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) gets to work on another escape plan.

At Jacobs Fold, a secret explodes for Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb), but is this the moment he learns Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) isn’t carrying Sarah Sugden’s (Katie Hill) baby?
