Cole Hauser’s insight on Yellowstone finale’s looming uncertainties based on Taylor Sheridan’s unpredictable narrative.

Following Paramount Network’s 2023 announcement about the second half of Yellowstoneβ€˜s fifth season, premiering on the network in November 2024, Cole Hauser, who portrays the enigmatic Wheeler shared his insights on the upcoming events. While professionally maintaining silence, Hauser dropped a few hints during his exclusive interview with ET Online.

With the gripping saga of Yellowstone rushing towards its latest season finale, fans seem to brace themselves for what might be the most shocking twist yet. Especially after Cole Hauser’s shady premonitions about the looming uncertainties and the series’ penchant for unexpected deaths, fans appear all the more concerned.

Cole Hauser’s Ominous Warning About Yellowstone Finale

Preparing for some potential devastation on Yellowstone finale since 2023, Cole Hauser sat for an interview with ET Online to share insights on what to expect. Addressing fan theories that have predicted an upcoming death of one of the Duttons in the Paramount Network series, Hauser ominously remarked on unpredictable narratives.

Crediting the masterful Taylor Sheridan, who has carved out a reputation for defying fan expectations and keeping audiences on the edge of their seats, Cole Hauser hinted at the possibility of a seismic event by the end of Yellowstone. Instead of giving away the thrill, Hauser strategically created more suspense with his response.

Cole Hauser Was Concerned About Losing Yellowstone Audience During Extended BreakΒ

I’m not the man to ask, but listen, you never know. Taylor [Sheridan] is one of those kinds of writers where you never know what’s coming. I love that about him. I think the show’s amazing because of it, so we’ll see what he comes up with and concocts in the next season to come.

Meanwhile, after the first half of Yellowstone’s fifth season ended with tensions between Beth (Kelly Reilly) and Jamie Dutton (Wes Bentley), fans wonder if any of those characters might die due to their feud. However, maintaining silence about the plot, Cole Hauser simply noted,

I don’t know. I would never [guess].

Certainly, given the way Taylor Sheridan crafts intricate plotlines with unexpected twists and turns, anything is possible. But not always did Sheridan’s unpredictability serve well for fans.

Taylor Sheridan’s Genius Trick Has Birthed a Few Unexpected Deaths

Take for example all the unforeseeable deaths that happened in Yellowstone, fans haven’t always been appreciative of Taylor Sheridan’s genius trick. Throughout its acclaimed run, the Western drama series has delivered a few of the most gut-wrenching moments where no character, no matter how central or beloved, was safe from the ruthless realities of the Montana frontier.

Despite being not the most vital character in Yellowstone, Sheriff Donnie Haskell, shocked fans with his unfortunate demise by the end of season 4, which fans are still not over with. Then came Josh Holloway’s exciting new antagonist Roarke Morris, who joined the show in season 3, only to meet his end in the season 4 finale. Meanwhile, who can forget the first significant death in the series marked by Lee Dutton, only to establish John Dutton’s villainous nature?

Among the most serious Yellowstone characters’ deaths, Samantha Long’s suicide was all over the place and a hard-to-accept demise for fans in the inaugural season of the show. Further, journalist Sarah Nguyen’s murder was another gritty death that impacted audiences in the second season of Yellowstone. Among the major tear-jerking deaths was Dan Jenkins, who died believing he had a right to try and win the power struggles shown in seasons 1 and 2.
