Emmerdale spoilers follow from Tuesday’s episode (25 November), which is available to watch now on ITVX and YouTube but hasn’t yet aired on ITV1.
Emmerdale’s Ray Walters secretly panics tonight as Bear Wolf considers a possible reunion with his estranged son Paddy Dingle. With the tragic death of Anya still affecting him badly, Bear becomes reflective over his family and everything that he’s missing out on.
Bear has spent months carrying out Ray’s instructions on Celia Daniels’ farm, manipulated into doing unpaid work as the ITV soap explores the issue of modern slavery. Although the ex-wrestler has been brainwashed into trusting Ray’s every word, the recent tragedy involving Anya has tested their relationship.
In tonight’s episode, a grieving Bear is preoccupied by thoughts of how Anya died without ever getting a chance to reunite with her daughter.
Bear doesn’t want the same thing to happen between him and Paddy, so he takes the opportunity for a quiet chat with Ray…

“It’s got me thinking about my son,” Bear notes. “That’s what’s worried me, see. Anya’s little girl Raina, she doesn’t know what’s happened to her mum.
“What if that happens to me? What if I die and I’m buried here – who’s going to let him know?”
When Bear later brings up his concerns again, Ray tries his best to trick him with further lies and excuses – but will it be enough?
The emotional conversations come as Bear’s fellow captives Mick and Simo once again warn him that Ray isn’t to be trusted.

Mick and Simo share their big plans to escape from the farm and urge Bear to join them – but will he be tempted?
Joshua Richards, who plays Bear, recently told us: “A lot of Ray’s methods are pointing out that ‘sometimes your previous life was absolutely dreadful’, ‘aren’t things better now because you can trust me?’ It’s like giving a dog treats.
“It’s very clever manipulation. It’s very insidious. You can bit by bit instil in somebody that you are needed by them for their very existence.
“Ray is very successful at doing that because he has a natural charm and an ability to get under people’s skin.”
