1. A tragic turn of events for Holly and Andrew
Neighbours airs tragic scenes next week as pregnant Holly Hoyland suffers a devastating loss. The emotional storyline airs as Holly is rushed to hospital following her involvement in JJ Varga-Murphy’s dramatic kidnap plot.
As the Aussie soap’s 40-year run nears its conclusion early next week, Ramsay Street’s residents are shocked to realise that JJ has been abducted. While the Linwell family are the top suspects, there are no quick and easy answers for JJ’s frantic family.
Holly plays a key role in solving the mystery, realising that JJ is being held captive in an ambulance which has appeared in the neighbourhood. With help from Felix Rodwell, she raises the alarm and ensures that JJ is rescued.

Just as Holly breathes a sigh of relief after her heroic efforts, she starts to feel unwell – clutching her stomach and fearing the worst over her unborn baby’s wellbeing…

“Holly’s on her own when she collapses,” our Neighbours source explains. “The first person to find her is Wendy Rodwell, who jumps straight into action by making sure that she gets to the hospital safely.
“Wendy’s animosity over Holly and Andrew’s affair is all forgotten due to the severity of the situation. She even stays right by Holly’s side at the hospital as they wait for the Kennedys to arrive.”
Later, Wendy is still there when Holly learns the devastating news that she has lost the baby.

With family and friends surrounding them, Holly and Andrew are both left in mourning as they reflect on the loss of the future they thought they’d have as co-parents.
“In the aftermath, Wendy and her daughter Sadie are determined to put their grievances aside to offer their condolences,” our insider adds.
“It seems that there may be hope for everyone to reconcile and move on in the future, but with so few episodes left, will there be any firm answers before Neighbours ends?”

News of Holly and Andrew’s loss reaches Krista Tanaka, who knows what they’re going through after her heartbreaking experiences with baby Hope last year.
Krista reaches out to support Holly, making it clear that she’s there if her friend and colleague ever wants to talk.
3. Krista discovers some big news
Krista is pushed to her limits by stressful situations – including the controversial freeway development and Paul’s desire to sell the hotel so he can focus on his new venture, Robinson Heights.
When Krista seems exhausted, she passes it off as a side effect of recent events – but soon takes a pregnancy test and discovers that it’s positive.
4. Paul makes another plan

Paul’s relationship with Terese Willis faces further strain amid the freeway dramas. While Paul is keen to make a clean break, Terese wants to stay loyal to her friends by keeping up the fight to save Ramsay Street.
Paul has two main priorities – beating Shane Ramsay by luring everyone over to Robinson Heights rather than Ramsay Hills, and repairing things with Terese. As Terese is the love of Paul’s life, he won’t give up without a fight – but he’ll need everyone’s help to put his latest plan into action…
