Pregnant Charity Dingle’s house of cards could come crashing down on Emmerdale next week when the guilt gets too much. Things are so bad that she even vows to avoid a very special occasion for Sarah Sugden.
But her strange behaviour doesn’t go unnoticed, and she later lets slip the truth about her baby to Vanessa Woodfield. Will this lead to Sarah discovering the full story too?
“Charity’s close to breaking point,” our Emmerdale source explains. “As the baby’s arrival edges closer, the guilt she’s carrying worsens, especially around Sarah and Jacob. How much longer can she bear the burden?”
Ever since her one-night-stand with Ross Barton turned into a nightmare, the only person Charity has been able to confide in is Chas. But with her cousin pushing her to tell the truth and concerned she might have her own complicated feelings for the baby, Charity is in dire need of a new shoulder to cry on…

When perceptive Vanessa realises there’s something troubling her anxious ex, she puts Charity under the spotlight and begs her to reveal what’s wrong.
Seizing the opportunity to offload, Charity hints that the baby she’s carrying is not Sarah and Jacob’s…
“Vanessa is aghast at Charity’s revelation,” teases our source. “She knows Charity better than anyone, but even she couldn’t predict this hellish dilemma. Could Vanessa be the one to convince Charity to come clean?”
After seeing Vanessa’s reaction, Charity quickly backtracks, unable to confess fully. Knowing how close Vanessa is to Sarah, and how her ex offered advice early on in her granddaughter’s pregnancy journey, Charity’s terrified that her explosive secret will be exposed by Vanessa’s need to be honest.

Feeling the walls closing in, Charity is suffocated by the pressure when Sarah and Jacob Gallagher announce they’re planning a party to reveal the sex of the baby. In secret, they’ve been planning a big family bash with the help of Belle Dingle. But this major family celebration is the last thing Charity wants.
Knowing all eyes will be on her at the party, Charity thanks on her feet and tries to make an excuse to avoid being there.
Unaware that Sarah and Jacob have planned something very special, Charity is oblivious to the consequences of not attending…

“The more excuses Charity makes, the worse her situation becomes,” hints our spy. “Sooner or later Sarah and Jacob will notice something’s wrong.
“And if Charity fails to turn up for their surprise event, the questions on her whereabouts will be endless. Will the pressure get to her and force a confession?”
