Emmerdale spoilers follow
Emmerdale’s Danny Miller has explained a major life change for Robert Sugden and Aaron Dingle this Christmas. The recently reunited couple will face yet another challenge as they try to bring Robert’s son Seb back into the village.
Will they be able to complete their family unit ahead of the big day? Or could their plans be scuppered by a disapproving Ross Barton?
Robert and Aaron’s relationship has been far from smooth-sailing in recent months, with not one, but two vengeful husbands scheming to tear them apart. Despite this, the pair miraculously managed to rekindle their romance and are looking forward to the future together.
“I think the idea would be to pick up where they left off,” explained Miller, who plays Aaron. “Seb lost his mum Rebecca and Ross signed him over to Rebecca’s auntie. So the only other person that could potentially bring him up is his dad.”

“I think, Aaron being the person that he is, would love to look after and cherish this kid and bring it up as their own. They think maybe this could work,” he added.
While the couple are excited to reunite with the young lad, their plans are vehemently opposed by Ross who makes his feelings clear. As well as fearing for Seb’s safety amid Robert and Aaron’s chaotic relationship, Ross also shares that he would struggle to see Seb after having to give him up.

“Ross finds out through Rebecca’s auntie. He gets a text asking for some words of advice as to whether they should be allowed to see Seb, to which Ross, rightly says no, absolutely not,” said Miller. “They’re the last people I would give him to because of everything that’s gone on.”
The star added that Ross could “be a problem” for the duo as his opinion would hold more weight with Rebecca’s auntie, who they “don’t really know”.
When Aaron later finds his windscreen smashed and the trees outside his flat on fire, he immediately suspects Ross is to blame. However, the real culprit is lurking around the village, ready to strike again.
Disgruntled Robert decides to take matters into his own hands to keep Aaron safe, but his loved ones are left fearing the worst when he doesn’t return home. Who is targeting the pair?
