B&B Christmas Episode Was A Disaster!
This year’s Christmas episode of The Bold and the Beautiful left many fans scratching their heads—and not in a good way. Instead of delivering the warmth, chaos, and emotional payoff viewers expect from a holiday installment, the episode came across as strangely flat and underwhelming. Rather than feeling like a festive celebration, it played out more like an ordinary weekday episode that just happened to feature a Christmas tree in the background.
One of the biggest issues was the glaring absence of key characters. Christmas on a soap is usually all about family, yet a huge portion of the Forrester clan was nowhere to be seen. Thomas was missing, RJ didn’t appear, Zende was absent, and Bridget was also nowhere in sight. That’s a significant chunk of the core family simply erased from what should have been the most ensemble-driven episode of the year. Viewers were left wondering how it could possibly be Christmas at the Forrester house without these familiar faces turning up.
The lack of explanation only made it worse. Zende skipping Christmas entirely felt especially odd, and Bridget’s disappearance raised the usual question fans joke about—does she only exist when someone ends up in the hospital? The episode missed a major opportunity to cut between different holiday gatherings. Even a brief visit to the Spencer house or a short scene at Deacon’s place could have added variety, energy, and the sense that the entire world of the show was celebrating the holiday together.
