The actress, who plays Kerry Wyatt, revealed she has faced a difficult setback in her weight loss journey. Laura previously lost three stone, but told fans she recently hit a “blip” after entering perimenopause.

In a new Instagram post, Laura explained that many followers had asked about her “42 and Fit” thread, which she started earlier in the year to document her progress. She assured supporters she hasn’t abandoned her goals, writing:

“I haven’t quit! I promise. I want to show accountability with something that I started.”

Hormones, Motherhood & a Demanding Career

The 42-year-old shared that her body has been through a lot. She experienced a postpartum hormone drop two years in a row after welcoming her children. Now, perimenopause has added new challenges, making exercise harder to maintain.

Laura admitted she has felt sluggish and lethargic. Her busy filming schedule also makes it difficult to plan workouts. Still, she is determined to move forward and rebuild her routine.

A New Fitness Plan & Lifestyle Changes

Laura told fans she is easing back into exercise this week and will make lifestyle adjustments to support her health. Those changes include:

 Earlier nights to wake with more energy
 Restructuring her eating schedule
 Paying closer attention to food choices

She also said that sharing her journey publicly helps her stay motivated. She enjoys hearing from others on similar health paths and wants her followers to know they are not alone.

Laura has been with partner Mark Jordon since 2015. They share two children, Jesse and Ronnie, who both live with Usher syndrome, a rare genetic condition that affects hearing and vision.
