Casualty star Michael Stevenson has revealed what’s in store for Iain and Faith Dean

Casualty star Michael Stevenson has revealed what’s in store for Iain and Faith Dean.

Speaking exclusively with Digital Spy at the National Television Awards, the actor reflected on his character’s tumultuous relationship with Faith, which recently came under strain when she mistakenly accused Jacob of stealing morphine from the ED.

In episodes set to air next week, fans will also watch as Iain distances himself from Faith while processing the death of his mum. As he decides to throw himself into the most dangerous HART mission yet, it looks like Iain and Faith have a tough road ahead.

“It’s been a massive box set for Iain, going on all the different shifts, I’m sure everyone’s enjoyed all the different uniforms that he had to wear,” Stevenson said on Wednesday.

“But the next episode is huge, when he’s out with the SWAT team. But it’s a culmination of the storylines to do with the morphine, the morphine being stolen and being watered down. It’s the culmination of what I’m hearing has been one of the fans’ favourite boxsets.”iain dean, casualty

Asked about the issues in Iain and Faith’s relationship, he added, “Obviously, they’re married now, so it’s a lot harder to just walk away from a marriage. They’ve committed to each other, and not long after doing that, this huge thing has happened that they’ve got to work their way through. We’ll see what happens.”

“Just when you think things can’t get any worse, they might just do,” he teased. “I think the fans like it, they’re always in an on-off relationship, and the writers are always coming up with reasons to cause them conflict. But we enjoy playing that, and I think the fans enjoy it too.”
