Coronation Street and Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Corriedale has officially confirmed that the villainous John Sugden will return for the crossover episode between Coronation Street and Emmerdale. Along with the news that the evil figure is set to make his comeback, ITV has confirmed the full cast of 41 characters for the instalment.
Set to air on Monday 5 January, the special episode sees the two iconic ITV soaps merge for the first time ever, marking a historic moment.
While the exact details of what to expect in the episode are being kept under wraps, we do know that a multi-vehicle pile-up will be at the centre of the drama, with a recently released teaser trailer confirming the catastrophic crash.
As if a terrifying crash isn’t enough, ITV has now confirmed that Aaron Dingle’s wicked ex-husband John will make his return during the crossover episode, having last been seen on Emmerdale back in September.
A newly released image, which also features Debbie Webster, Todd Grimshaw, Carla Connor, Cain Dingle and Charity Dingle, shows John standing menacingly behind a pregnant Charity.
