Emmerdale spoilers follow for the latest episode to air on ITV1 and stream on ITVX. This article contains discussion of attempted sexual assault.
Emmerdale has aired a dark cliffhanger for April Windsor as she’s found herself in more trouble while working for Celia Daniels and Ray Walters in Newcastle.
After she thought she’d killed Celia’s client Callum when he tried to assault her, April promised Celia and Ray she’d toe the line from now on and was sent to Newcastle on a drug dealing job.
She recently lied to her dad Marlon about the trip, telling him and Rhona that she was going with a friend and they would be checking out universities.
In the latest episode, Marlon and Rhona were busy organising Ivy’s birthday party. After checking with April’s boyfriend Dylan, who is also none the wiser about April’s real motives, Marlon called her offering to pick her up from the station.

The phone went straight to voicemail as Marlon recorded his message.
“We’re all itching to see you, find out what you’ve been up to,” Marlon said.
“Ivy’s obviously dead chuffed her big sister’s coming back for her birthday,” he added.
“Anyway, give me a call back if you get a chance, sweetheart. Although, I’d imagine you’re having far too much fun to bother with your boring old dad…”
Meanwhile, the final scenes revealed April wasn’t having the fun getaway Marlon had envisioned.
The teen was escorted into the interrogation room at a police station before the credits rolled.
Spoilers for next week reveal that April has been taken to the police station after being found with a stash of drugs on her. Desperate, she calls her grandfather to be her appropriate adult, pleading with him not to tell Marlon.
Celia manipulates a conflicted Bob him into keeping quiet – and the criminal mastermind may have a horrifying plan in store for April. How much more dangerous is the situation going to get for the teen?
