Emmerdale confirms Vinny’s romantic feelings again – as he gets jealous

Emmerdale spoilers follow.

Emmerdale has hinted at a romantic twist for Vinny Dingle as a pang of jealousy over housemate Lewis Barton may reveal deeper feelings.

Earlier this year, Vinny experienced doubts about his sexuality, which led him to be lured into a vile scam ran by a man named Mike. After his ordeal, Vinny went ahead with the wedding to Gabby Thomas, but it was Gabby who ultimately called it quits just weeks after they tied the knot.

Vinny has since moved in with Lewis Barton, with all clues pointing to a romantic spark between the two.

In tonight’s (11 December) scenes, Vinny’s best friend Kammy Hadiq clocked a sweet moment between him and Lewis at the café.vinny dingle, lewis barton, kammy hadiq, emmerdale

As Lewis declared this Christmas would be “extra special” because he’d get to spend it with his adopted and real families, Vinny couldn’t help but smiling.

Afterwards, an inquisitive Kammy quizzed his pal. “Vin, do you fancy him?” he asked, to which Vinny immediately replied: “Don’t be daft, no!”

However, it seems that Vinny may be harbouring feelings for Lewis after all as he found himself jealous of his mystery date.vinny dingle, emmerdale

At the Woolpack, Lewis left Vinny and Kammy just before Jason Donovan’s concert as he had “a hot date with Tony”.

Vinny appeared as confused as the next viewer as he asked Kammy who Lewis’s date was.

“No idea,” replied Kammy.

Vinny and Lewis actors Bradley Johnson and Bradley Riches spoke with Digital Spy about their characters’ connection.

“They’re just both geeky, loveable characters. It’s two unique people helping each other and supporting each other. It’s brilliant,” Johnson said as Lewis star Riches teased something more may be in the cards for them.kammy hadiq, emmerdale

“It’s nice to see someone who’s not sure about themselves being welcomed by someone who is very sure of themselves,” explained Riches.

“Only time will tell [regarding their future]. I think at the beginning it’s definitely a friendship. I mean, every good relationship is based on friendship and that’s a good starting point, definitely!”
