EMMERDALE has been hit with over 350 Ofcom complaints in just two days as furious fans slam the soap’s darkest ever storyline.
Viewers have been watching in shock over the last few months as the extent of Celia Daniel’s criminal empire has been unveiled.

It has included horrifying enslavement of vulnerable people, grooming young teenagers into drug dealing and being sold for sex – and even killings.
But last week’s episodes where teenager April Windsor finally told her family what she had been going through proved too much for viewers.
Instead of April being given help to escape the horror – instead the soap showed Celia threatening her family and ordering the attempted murder of April’s boyfriend Dylan as they all watched helplessly on.
The dark twist that has plunged the family into devastating circumstances has seen them be rejected by the police when they begged for help.

Viewers found the scenes to be worthy of complaints and have flooded regulator Ofcom with them.
Just two days episodes from December 2 and December 4 received 59 and 297 complaints.
This is on top of the hundreds of complaints previously made about the storyline.
One episode that received more than 100 complaints saw April being lured to a hotel room with a paedophile who has paid to rape her.
