1. Ramsay Street to be knocked down?
Neighbours fans will see the future of Ramsay Street come under serious threat in the iconic soap’s final ever storyline. The jaw-dropping twist is revealed next week, as controversial plans are made to demolish the Street in favour of a new freeway.
The local residents are stunned and now face a fierce fight to save the Street, but with the beloved show about to end after 40 years, could everyone be forced to move out for new pastures? All will be revealed…
Neighbours first mentioned the new freeway project earlier this month, but the Ramsay Street favourites were assured that their houses wouldn’t be affected by the development.
That all changes in upcoming scenes, as Elle Robinson exposes a secret romantic connection between local mayor Helen and mystery man Jonah Jackson, who’s closely involved in the freeway plans.
The undeclared relationship sparks a corruption scandal, so Helen and Jonah are both arrested. Helen warns Elle’s dad Paul that she should have left the situation alone, as now there’ll be hell to pay for everyone…
“Helen’s threat leaves many of the Ramsay Street residents spooked,” our Neighbours insider explains. “Paul dismisses it, insisting that Helen is just trying to cover her own embarrassment after being caught out.
“Karl Kennedy – who tipped off Elle with the initial lead to investigate – is also wary, though. As an urgent council meeting takes place to clear up the mess, Karl ends up apologising to Sam Kratz and Annalise Hartman for his role in causing the chaos.”

Later, Sam and Annalise are clearly cagey after news from the meeting. With many of the residents gathered in The Waterhole, Sam explains that the developers are scrapping the original plans for the freeway in order to make a clean break.
Sadly, the new proposal changes the freeway’s location – and it will now go straight through Ramsay Street!
“Nobody can believe the news that their houses will be sold up and knocked down to make way,” our source adds. “Can the residents save the Street?”

Elle Robinson and Felix Rodwell enjoy their new romance, but their latest cosy moment is interrupted when Paul arrives at No.30 to highlight the trouble that Elle’s discovery has caused.
As Elle had passed the Helen tip-off onto Daily Monster editor Wesley and encouraged him to write the article himself, she’s able to keep her distance from most of the chaos. When Paul questions whether this has reignited her interest in journalism, Elle insists that part of her life is over.
