“YOU HIT THE WRONG PERSON” – Lt. Baker finds out that the person Dylan hit was not Luna

The tension around Forrester Creations and the hospital has reached a fever pitch, and at the center of it all is Dylan—exhausted, unraveling, and repeating the same heartbreaking confession to anyone willing to stand still long enough to hear it. For days, she’s been stumbling through the halls, insisting that she’s responsible for Luna’s death in the hit-and-run accident.

She describes the events in agonizing detail: the shattered headlights, the figure that suddenly appeared on the road, the way her hands trembled uncontrollably as she called 911 to report what she believed was her own unforgivable crime. Meanwhile, the Forrester family is still reeling from the belief that Luna’s death came from the shooting—an emotional blow they’ve barely managed to process. And Dylan wears that supposed responsibility like a chain around her neck, convinced she destroyed a life and deserves every ounce of judgment and punishment she imagines is coming.

Yet the harder she tries to accept the guilt she’s claimed, the more the universe seems determined to shatter her fragile acceptance. Everything turns inside out when Chief Baker uncovers a truth that dismantles the entire tragedy at its foundation—a truth Dylan never even considered could exist.

From the beginning, Baker sensed inconsistencies in the timeline of Luna’s supposed death. There were details that didn’t line up: the condition of the body, the clothing that didn’t quite make sense, and gaps in the digital data from before the accident. When a new forensic report lands on his desk, the entire investigation flips on its head.

The clothing on the victim had clearly belonged to Luna—a prison uniform from LA County, the same one she’d been wearing earlier that night before she fled Will’s house after stealing one of his guest’s outfits. But the DNA? It told a totally different story. The facial reconstruction? Also a mismatch. The victim wasn’t Luna.

Instead, the woman who died was the unidentified guest who had been showering at Will’s place while Luna was spiraling out of control. This woman, unaware of the chaos surrounding her, walked outside wearing Luna’s discarded prison clothes and unknowingly stepped into the path of Dylan’s car.

When Baker tracks down Dylan, he finds her shaking and alone in the parking lot, whispering the same tortured words: “I killed her. I killed Luna.” But Baker’s voice slices through her panic as he delivers the truth: “You didn’t kill Luna. You never touched her that night.”

Dylan’s breath stops, her world spinning as she manages to ask, “Then who did I hit?”

The revelation crashes into her like a second impact. She didn’t kill Luna—but she did kill someone. A real woman with her own story, her own past, and absolutely no connection to Luna’s chaos. Dylan’s guilt doesn’t dissolve. It deepens, twisting into something far more complex and far more painful. She collapses, whispering, “I thought it was her… I thought…”

Baker steadies her and tries to explain how the clothing misled her and how trauma can distort perception. But Dylan is already spiraling into a darker emotional terrain. Her guilt transforms into confusion, then desperation, as she murmurs, “I confessed to killing the wrong woman.” And the enormity of that truth suffocates her.

Now the real psychological fallout begins. Dylan starts replaying every second of the night—not as someone who believed she killed Luna, but as someone who unintentionally ended the life of a stranger. Her self-punishment only intensifies. She dreads the reactions that will come: from Will, from Steffy, and especially from Finn.

Will Finn see her as just another threat connected to Luna’s chaos? Will Steffy unleash her fury, furious that Dylan allowed the misunderstanding to grow into a catastrophe? And what about Poppy and Li—how will they react when they learn that the person they believed dead was not Luna at all?

Meanwhile, Baker understands that this new identity twist blows the case wide open again. If Dylan didn’t hit Luna, then where was Luna during those missing hours? Who exactly is the woman who died, and why was she at Will’s house? Was she unknowingly caught in Luna’s dangerous spiral, or was she simply in the wrong place at the worst possible moment?

And now that Luna has regained consciousness and remembers fragments of that night, even more questions are about to surface.

With all these revelations erupting at once, one question remains:
Should Baker reveal the truth to the Forresters immediately, or will keeping this secret only trigger even greater chaos?
